“The Chamber offers its enthusiastic welcome to Dr. Cheng,” said Julie Pastrick, President and CEO of the Greater Flagstaff Chamber of Commerce. “Her strong background in business and academics makes her a high-quality candidate to succeed Dr. Haeger as President of NAU. We look forward to having her in our community and building a relationship with her. The Chamber offers her our full support as she takes on new challenges in strengthening NAU as a premier institution of higher education.”

“We wish to offer our sincerest thanks to President Haeger,” Pastrick continued. “Under his leadership these last 13 years, NAU has gone through an enormous transformation that has strengthened its academic mission and our community as a whole. He leaves NAU in a first-rate status as an institution for higher education, and he leaves it in the good hands of Dr. Cheng.”

The Flagstaff community will have a chance to meet Dr. Cheng on Thursday, June 12th, at NAU’s Ashurst Auditorium on campus from 3:30-4:30 PM where she will make a campus address
